Biden a Saint? More Like a Martyr.
I know the word “martyr” is a stretch, but it worked in that he is willing to die for a cause or at least be disgraced for one. Now I didn’t say it was a good cause but the word I really wanted to use, “kapo” was nixed by the reality of SEO. It’s inflammatory I know but it was purely a matter of vocabulary. A kapo is a prisoner of the regime who participates, collaborates, and facilitates the harassment and oppression of their fellow citizen. And he is that…a useful and willing participant who doesn’t mind selling their soul and dignity for comfort, limited powers, and feigned legitimacy within a wicked regime.
Kapo. Maybe it’s a tad harsh but Joe is sure no sacrificial saint.
So nuh-uh. Not today.
There will be no misty-eyed thanks or benedictions given for Saint Biden here.
And those who do offer them will do so motivated by Pure-D sentiment and/or relief—as opposed to the entirety of his record or the record of his recent performance.
Emotion may drive you to a stirring tribute to Joe—but FACT WILL NOT.
This is not a somber, selfless, passing of the torch by the party people of compassion. This is “We realized we won’t win…and are okay with burning you/it all down to hang on to the allusion we still can.”
This is that party.
Raw power…and the fear of losing it…in panic.
I have made no bones about it—I believe Biden lacks character as a leader and as a man. And I do not think he is, or has been, fit for office for some time—if ever.
But even I have been surprised at the strong-arm tactics used against him by his own party. It’s been way out of bounds.
They give some “candid” interviews. He resists.
They leak some “unflattering”comments. He insists.
They write some very public letters. “I’m in it to win it.”
They give testimony to things seen and heard in the WH (conveniently overlooked until now). “I am the nominee.”
Donors pull out. “Come on, man.”
They tried to speak his departure into existence…gaslighting even…”He is considering it…” NO I’M NOT!! “He will make a decision…” I’VE MADE IT!! I’M RUNNING!!
This wasn’t a courageous act of wisdom or maturity. This was a response to whatever was FINALLY MOTIVATING ENOUGH.
Was it threat of ruin, revelation, retribution, or prosecution?? I don’t know. Yes?
They have demonstrated a penchant for all of it.
There’s more (a lot more) to say on the who’s and how’s of what happens next. But for now?
Make no mistake—as amusing as it has been to see the implosion—we have ALL BEEN BURNED IN THE FLAMES.
Praise the Lord we only share borders with Mexico and Canada or tanks would be driving up the drags of our major cities.
Our country has NEVER BEEN more vulnerable than it is right this minute.
AND THEY DID THIS.
They did this when they put Biden and Harris on a ticket, historic and historically bad.
They did this when they chose to allow the presidency to function as puppetry.
They did this when they chose to ignore reality—the reality of Biden mentally and physically, the reality of his poor decisions.
They did this when knowing all they knew allowed Biden to run again…to not have a primary…to call any dissenters liars, treasonists, and threats to democracy.
They did this when they finally realized they wouldn’t win and chose the 11th hour for the ol’ Scranton Switcharoo.
They did this.
And they wonder why Trump is appealing.
Yes, there is a unified front on the horizon but they have no authority today.
They control no arms or armies today.
And today, in the span of a week, confirmed for the whole world—that now knows our president is frail and unsupported by his party, our intelligence is compromised, our security agencies are poorly managed, our candidates and former president can be quite easily accessed and eliminated, and our coffers are empty.
This is the inevitable fruit of progressive policies and politics. Instability.
So yeah…no…this is not a West Wing moment. Lying liars deserve no laude or loyalty.
