Colorado Outlaws Parenting…But I’m Sure it Will Be Fine

The Colorado State Legislature is trying to hand the state and all of its residents over to the dark side again. So, there’s that.

There is no middle ground for moderation or mediation, in their State House and Senate, they have abandoned it for extremes. And they have done so under cover of a late session with barely a whimper from the public at large, save for the remaining conservatives or Christians who have been screaming bloody murder about…well, bloody murder for months.

Let’s start with that one… taxpayer-funded abortion. SB 183 requires abortions to be funded by the taxpayers and it also requires public-employee insurance plans to cover abortions. The bill was filed in February, a few months after 62 percent of Colorado voters approved Amendment 79, which made abortion a constitutional right in the state and repealed a prohibition on public funding.

Surely, you see that for all the “health and wellnessing,” this reflects a culture of and appetite for death?

Like, you can’t “nix seed-oils” your way out of the implications of this. There’s not enough hemp or hash in all the land to numb the guilt and coming pain of these choices.

Then we have HB25-1312. This law, which was signed into effect by the state’s leadership, raises significant issues for any who believe that the responsibility for raising and guiding children should remain firmly in the hands of the family, not the state or other external entities.

The law in question allows minors–12 year-olds– to access gender-affirming healthcare and make decisions about their identity WITHOUT the consent of their parents.

Your 12-year-old can tell a counselor at school, who can then make them an appointment with a doctor or psychologist, who can then see, treat, prescribe, and perform surgery on your child without your knowledge or consent. And should you find out, you can lose custody if you object. It’s madness.

You do not have to be Conservative or even Christian to believe that children should not be encouraged to make life-altering decisions without the guidance and wisdom that comes from parental oversight. The secular and sane will reach the same conclusion as well.

As parents, we are tasked with the responsibility of guiding our children through the complexities of life, offering them moral guidance, ensuring their well-being, and helping them to enter society as productive, healthy, contributing adults…as opposed to deeply depressed, deeply disturbed malcontents in eternal and suspended adolescence who have been drugged and butchered beyond recognition.

For people of faith, this law undermines the Biblical view that parents have a God-given role in making decisions for their children. You cannot (no mortal man can) take away the authority that God has given. Not without a fight anyway. I didn’t make the rules, of this religion or the nation’s rules to preserve the free expression of it and others. But the rules exist, nonetheless.

Hey Colorado, you are passing laws that absolutely infringe on the right to practice religion without hindrance from the government.

The implications of such a law could be far-reaching, especially for young people who are vulnerable to confusion or external pressures when it comes to gender identity. It is concerning that children as young as 12 can be encouraged to pursue treatments like puberty blockers or hormone therapy without parental knowledge or consent. I say again, WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT.

Furthermore, the law could lead to significant emotional and psychological consequences for children who do not fully understand the long-term ramifications of their decisions. My God, the doctors don’t fully understand the long-term effects but even they are beginning to acknowledge the dangers. Parents, who have a vested interest in their child’s well-being, are now powerless to protect them from what they believe are hasty and irreversible medical interventions.

The Colorado law also reflects a broader cultural shift that seeks to prioritize individual autonomy above the family unit.

The law also raises questions about the role of public schools and other institutions in shaping children’s beliefs and decisions. In an era when schools are becoming more vocal in their support of various progressive ideologies, many parents fear that their children will be encouraged to make decisions that align with political or social agendas rather than grounded in reason, faith, or the guidance of their families.

As ADULTS, we are called to protect ALL children and to shield them from harmful influences. But as a Christian parent? I am bound by covenant and the FEAR OF GOD to defy this on any and every front.

Mamas, papas, friends, and fellow patriots–we may have won a national election but between CO and the recent Homeschool Legislation in Illinois, we are losing the battles at the state and local levels.

Wake up, mi amigos. We cannot slumber now. Be vigilant in your state and BE PRAYING FOR FAITH AND FIRE in these states.

While we talk about tariffs and Taiwan, they are marching through, state-by-state…Michigan…New Mexico…Illinois…The passage of this law in Colorado only reinforces the need for prayer and action to ensure that the freedom to practice religion is upheld, parental rights are respected, and that the well-being of children is placed at the forefront of societal conversations.

As for the Colorado Democratic leaders who are responsible for these shameful things, there are not enough rivers to hold all the millstones that should be around necks right now. I don’t say that to be unkind, but as a sincere and harsh warning–for according to Scripture, there is hardly a fate worse than that of those who have led the innocent or immature astray. I would not want to be in your vegan moccasins right now.

What will you do when your sane and sensible tax-payers are forced to make a decision to leave your beautiful state?? Who will pay for the abortions and gender affirming “care” then?

It’s horrible. Disgusting and I don’t comprehend how anyone with Conscience can support any of this. It’s gloomy to be hard to find places to live soon if this continues.
