The Kennedys, Kamalot, and the Hypocrisy of Them All
RFK Jr. suspends his campaign and endorses Trump.
And will not be invited to Thanksgiving at the Kennedy Compound because of it. Womp womp.
The Kennedys…of which I can name NONE because I do not know who they are, what they do, or why I should care…are big mad.
We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise, and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and our family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story.
Kathleen, Courtney, Kerry, Chris, and Rory Kennedy
That’s gotta sting. “Utter betrayal?” You’re going to “disassociate” yourself from him?” It is almost identical to the statement they released denouncing his candidacy from the beginning. “Dangerous to our country…doesn’t share the same values, vision, or judgment…perilous to our country…” Bro. Seriously, these are the words used by Sister “We can respectfully disagree without personal attacks…” Kennedy. Disgusted. Obscene. Disavow. Flagrant. Desecration.
At this point, if I am RFK Jr., I have just given myself permission to never send another graduation, wedding, 3rd wedding, rehab completion gift, or funeral floral spray to any of y’all. Ever. I mean if my brothers knifed me like that, I would unfriend them, mute the group thread, and walk my dog to their yard to relieve itself every single morning. Actually, is this even a possibility for Bobby? If I cared more about the Kennedys I would see who all owns property at Hyannis Port so I could imagine with some degree of accuracy the awkward exchanges happening there.
It would be the stuff of movies! Can you even imagine the building tension as So-and-So Sibling passive aggressively crawls out of the long driveway forcing RFK Jr. to wait on the curb before he can pull in? He’s gotta drive a Subaru. I hope he hurls open kombucha in their sunroof every single chance he gets or superglues TRUMP24 stickers to their back bumpers. I die. The latter is quite an effective and entertaining form of retribution. Don’t ask how I know. And as long as I am making suggestions for marrying politics and petty vengeance–could someone tell Trump to schedule his airwave eating press conferences at 3PM CST? Roll those windows up Cavuto! Incoming!
But alas, I don’t know if these sweet familial encounters will happen because I don’t know who occupies the compound.
Is there any demographic that still shapes its opinions and choices based on the Kennedys outside of elite libs of the north shore or lifelong Jackie O fans down at The Villages? I dare you to go into a Walmart and ask any shopper if Rory Kennedy’s disdain for her brother will impact their vote a great deal or a very great deal.
Outside of the Big Blue Bubble they live in…no one cares. The only reason I am giving any air or words to it now is to point out that it is yet another thing that reveals the utter hypocrisy of the left. Shocker.
Wasn’t it Michelle Obama who railed on Trump’s inherited generational wealth and the unfair safety net it provided?
“We will never benefit from the affirmative action of generational wealth…we do not get second, third, and fourth chances…” Ugh. Those people. Like Teddy Kennedy. How did equity look at Chappaquiddick? You know who flew right through the safety net of inherited generational wealth? Mary Jo Kopechne.
I thought we were supposed to despise the political dynasties that bought their way into offices? But here we are acting like the Kennedys are regular joes, acting like their opinions are obviously wiser and more astute because of their common everyman experience, acting like normal people release press statements over their family grievances. “My Aunt Sharon has disgraced her family and is jeopardizing the entire nation…with her GFCF holiday appetizers and decision to participate in MLM supplements. Just stop, Sharon. You are ruining literally everything.”
They are white, wealthy…generationally wealthy…elites, with private educations, private homes, planes, and yachts. How are they different than Trump?
Aren’t they then also the enemy according to most of your party and most of the speeches last week? Isn’t this the systemic structure you are fighting to bring down?
When it comes to alliances–the reality is that the left doesn’t care who, what, how, or why, as long as they win.
(That’s clever when you say it out loud. I’m not even charging extra for that.)
Their loyalties run as deep as their convictions. And that is toes-wet shallow if it needs to be put plainly. Hypocrisy is not even something to be avoided at their table.
I am genuinely excited to see RFK Jr. on Team Trump. Whether I like or agree with all of his positions, I can fully acknowledge this—he is a grown-up in the room genuinely trying to have right, hard, and helpful conversations about the trajectory of our nation. The stranglehold of bureaucracy? Absolutely right. The danger of big pharma? Yep. Censorship? Regulation run amok? Come on, now. Preach, preacher! I welcome any critical thinker to this big tent party. Because if you are genuinely pursuing truth, you will eventually arrive there, and I will be waiting on the porch with a nice glass of tea when you do.
I’m not terribly persuaded when a family that doesn’t know me offers their opinion on what is best for a country that they barely relate to. However, and I don’t know who said it, but it was a meme so you know it’s valid…”When a lifelong Democrat, from an iconic Democrat family, who tried to run as a Democrat, and who’s running mate was a Democrat, warns you about the dangers of voting Democrat in this election, perhaps you should listen.”
Well, Bobby doesn’t worry about running into family. He lives in NY where dad RFKsr moved family (jr was a kid) seeking to become Senator from NY.
As for the rest of the royalty that is Kennedy … “There was a member of the Kennedy family in public office nearly continuously from 1946, when John F. Kennedy was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, until early 2011, when Patrick J. Kennedy left the House. The only exception was the period between John F. Kennedy’s resignation from the Senate on December 22, 1960, and his assumption of the office of President on January 20, 1961. In 2013, two years after Patrick Kennedy left the House, Joseph P. Kennedy III was elected U.S. Representative from Massachusetts and served until 2021.” (Wikipedia)
Democrats all. No wonder they hate RFKjr so much.
I believe the quote at the end of your article (about Democrats) is from the ever-awesome Dan Bongino.
