World Gathers to Mourn Significant Loss

Many gathered for services across the globe as a hero was laid to rest, though not nearly as many as were expected. While an investigation is on-going, here is what we know so far.

 

Critical Thinking is dead.

 

Born an eternity ago in the mind and heart of God, Critical Thinking was a gift to all. Critical Thinking’s Father is quite impressive–omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient–Critical Thinking grew up in the midst of THE KNOW IT ALL. Critical Thinking is preceded in death by older, wiser siblings…Humility and Discernment.

Critical Thinking was always inquistive–always questioning the hows and whys of what was seen and heard. Can you even imagine? You thought your toddlers had a thousand questions a day about life, ladybugs, and bedtimes. Ha! Try raising Critical Thinking! “Why, why, why, why…why?” And not just questioning, Critical Thinking was always comparing, contrasting, evaluating the good or bad of an idea or action.

 

The family asked me to share this favorite AND TRUE story about Critical Thinking.

Recently, at the MOMA–Museum of Modern Art, a young man took off one worn and ratty Converse High-Top sneaker and tossed it aside while he adjusted his sock that had scrunched down. He was amazed and amused to watch museum goers begin taking pictures of his shoe, appreciating its “beauty” and the apparent statement it made. A line formed. A line of at least minimally educated, museum goers, lined up to see the random sneaker…each reading into the “art” whatever nonsense value and explanation they wanted. We no longer know how to distinguish what has value, what is to be treasured greater than gold and what is common.

 

Have you ever seen a people so gladly willing to be deceived? We are the most highly educated, low information people the world has ever known.

The signs were there. The signs had been there for a while but recently, you just knew–it wasn’t looking good for Critical Thinking…or Common Sense.

• We had a president and presidency that was so failing, his own party got rid of him in a hostile takeover straight outta Good Fellas. No one seemed to mind.
• The president who is so mentally declining he cannot possibly run for re-election is still in office but not taking any minutes or conducting business. Not a word.
• The least popular candidate who tanked in the primaries of 2020 became VP. But intersectionality made Critical Thinking unnecessary.
• The same VP became more unpopular during their term, was widely seen as ineffective and out of her league…is now the nominee for POTUS. Make it make sense.
• The candidate for POTUS from the left was never primaried, has never won a national vote of any kind, and is not taking questions. And everyone is pretending this is normal.
• We have the most provably radical socialist/communist ticket from the left. This is totally easy to fact check…because they have been so proud of it…on camera. But they are being painted as middle of the roaders.
• Also…let’s not forget that we recently saw our former POTUS and current nominee shot ON LIVE TV in an assassination attempt that killed one and wounded three. And we still know nothing about the shooter.
• The shooter, a 20-year-old nursing home aide, bested the intelligence of the FBI and the tactical capabilities of the US Secret Service. And one person resigned but only after two congressional hearings. No one has been fired.
• The assassination attempt revealed epic failings in our hiring, planning, and execution at the Secret Service. But YESTERDAY a female agent on Trump’s detail was not on post…because she was breastfeeding. A child…who was with her. A SECRET SERVICE AGENT HAD AN INFANT WITH HER ON THE DETAIL OF THE PRESIDENT WHO HAD RECENTLY HAD AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON HIS LIFE. Oh yeah…Critical Thinking is absolutely dead.
• We are living in the reality of the failed policies of the left, policies so bad they CANNOT EVEN RUN ON THEM they have to promise to do different and better…while promising to continue to do more of the same. Riddle me that one.
• We have a group called Evangelicals 4 Harris. That’s it. It needs no other supporting facts. It’s lunacy on its own.
• One of the men who began this group to “Save the country, the church, and conservatism…” by electing a ticket that is communistish… warned in a tweet in 2019 that Kamala was running on totalitarian authority. Yet here we are.
• The “evangelicals” are not even questioning the radical policies of this ticket on sexuality, gender, abortion, marriage, family…nothing. Crickets. No questions. No irony. No awareness of the utter hypocrisy of it.

 

With Critical Thinking gone, no one considers, no one probes, no one examines. A world of casual lookers but very few leaning into any issue to pursue truth or wisdom. Every unchecked thought seems wicked, rebellious, corrupt, and dangerous. The death of Critical Thinking is far more than sad. It is damning. And we are on the brink of being far more than grieving fools.

Buck up, Buttercup. In the absence of Critical Thinking, you are the light that remains. Press the issues. Point out inconsistencies. Ask the questions. Confront the lies. And the liars. They can only make fools of the willing. But the wise they cannot withstand. Not forever anyway.
