Zelensky to Sign Rare Earth Agreement Five Days After Rare Air Disagreement

I wasn’t sure how quickly it would pay off but I didn’t hate the on-air exchange in the Oval Office between Vance, Zelensky, and Trump. As it turns out…FIVE DAYS. It paid off in five days–just in time for cameras to roll tonight.

As of 7:30 this morning, March 4th, 2025, Zelensky released a statement stating that Ukraine is ready to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible. Zelensky also stated that “the meeting last Friday did not go the way it was supposed to,” and that he was ready to sign the agreement on minerals and security.

Message sent. Message received.

The private placating and public politeness way of diplomacy has gotten us exactly where we are–too many lives lost, too many resources spent.

Which was the response of VP Vance. Zelensky was posturing and with the aid of a reporter’s question, trying to force a verbal alliance for himself and a personal jab at Putin. Vance addressed this essentially stating, “Biden said all the “right” things you wanted to hear (and the world applauded as dignified and appropriate) and it achieved a Russian invasion.” It is a new day with a new way. Actions not words, matter more.

This was as much a clarifying statement to Zelensky as it was for the benefit of other world leaders and our own media. The left has made performative, verbal signaling a demand of us all. “Say his name!” “Say you believe women!” “Say Black Lives Matter!” “Say I’m a man! A woman! A pretty Peloponnesian narwal!!” “Say you stand with Ukraine!” Okay, Whoopi. Tell me you have the same maturity and need for control as a toddler without telling me.

They have used mandated language and phrases to control, shame, and silence anyone and everyone.

And they have done so while turning around and doing and saying whatever they want, caring not at all with the veracity or consistency of either. Much to my delight, it seems those days of crazy are ending.

Also, keep in mind that contributing to this little tete-a-tete was this long-known but newly confirmed revelation, EVERYONE KNEW ABOUT BIDEN. Thank you, Jake Tapper! Your upcoming book, while narcissistic, gross, and self-serving does make it impossible for anyone to claim they didn’t know about Biden’s cognitive decline, or that they believed Biden was acting as president.

And that includes Zelensky. Zelensky knew about Biden…the handlers, the managed dialogue, the staged photo ops. Zelensky knew that he was dealing with other parties that were truly at the helm of the US and he didn’t seem to mind, did he?

Zelensky allowing Biden to be the fool, also allowed America to be played a fool.

Hmmm…what other world leaders fall in that same category of guilt? While it is not Zelensky’s job to govern our country or blow the whistle, I can understand how knowing this combined with the hundreds of billions that were spent legitimately and illegitimately in Ukraine makes Trump less than tolerant of anything except the utmost respect and appreciation. Buddy, buddy–you’re sitting in the office of the man that you know has been prosecuted, persecuted, and near assassinated by oligarchs. You’re sitting in the office of the guy who knows that you knew Biden was out to lunch and you still went out to Pennsylvania to support the puppeteering party. And you thought you could be cute??

While it may seem less than stately, I don’t disagree with the assertion that global leaders in coordination with our former leaders, were extremely stately and cordial–while bankrupting our wealth and overwhelming our infrastructure with mass illegal migration. They almost dignified us to death, friends!

Confrontation is uncomfortable, especially public confrontation.

But it does tend to force others to adapt to a new reality quickly. A child gladly throws a fit in public until a parent gladly corrects them in public…or in the nearest bathroom. Reality changed. And there is a new reality in Washington and in the rest of the world–America is the primary concern of America. Like it or not, it has been stated, promised, confirmed, and demonstrated. Adjust accordingly.

My other take-away from the Oval Office Offense is how very much on the same page Vance and Trump are. It was a show of force and solidarity that far exceeds the stupid hash tags and the cringey bowing and scraping the left adores. Again, for this reason, I did not hate the exchange.

The war in Ukraine is terrible, tragic, and unfair.

But what is more terrible, tragic, and unfair is that global leaders have allowed it to continue on the blood and bank accounts of others while they lined their pockets. Why wasn’t Biden, or whomever was in charge, more motivated to negotiate peace over the last three years? Why wasn’t Zelensky more motivated? Because in the words of Dr. Phil, we allow bad behavior and bad situations to continue because they either aren’t that bad, or though bad they are more beneficial than we’d like to admit.

The war has continued because to whomever “held the cards” its continuation serves a purpose.

Last Friday, I surmised that Zelensky would test the waters of public pressure and seeing that Trump is unmoved by the chagrin of others, do the public relations equivalent of showing up in a suit and tie next time. Zelensky met with all of the EU leaders Monday, heard their strongest statements of fealty…and still came to make amends with Trump in under seven days. Is this the “art of the deal?”
