Gay Porn Filmed at the Capitol, Justifiable Terrorism, and You

This week we learned that two men—Aiden Maese-Czeropski, a Democratic staffer (24-years-old…that will be important later) to Democratic Senator Ben Cardin (Maryland), and Georg Gauger, an international student from Germany, filmed themselves having sex in a Senate hearing room. And posted the video to a site for gay men in politics. As one does…

Ben Cardin’s office issued a statement neither denying or confirming that his staffer is in the video but did want the world to know that he is no longer a staffer. The statement concluded with, “There will be no further comments on this.” As though simply stating that should be sufficient to end all conversation or question. What an amazing world that must be to live in!

My office has a culture that is so profane and proud, filming gay porn in Senate chambers, which may have broken some laws, will not be acknowledged, addressed, or apologized for.

In my world and I’m sure yours too, when we or someone representing us behaves badly, there is a reckoning or accountability—my God, at least shame.

Understandably this was Aiden’s response.

“This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda. While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.  Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters.”

Obviously. There are so many things that could be said here, though few are appropriate concerning the “appendages” required to do something so vile and abhorrent. But to follow it up with such a vile, abhorrent, and cowardly response is beyond reason.

YOU are the victim, guy?

You and another man, deceived your way into what should be a place reserved and preserved by and for integrity, brought sex toys, and filmed yourself on all fours on top of someone’s desk having sex… and you are being attacked because you are gay?

Because the objecting world is so hateful and bigoted? Seriously? Have you ever seen someone deflect responsibility for actions that they are so singularly responsible for? Sadly, if you’ve watched politics long you can say yes.

How far does your compass for true north have to be off to make that ridiculous “logic” work?

I imagine that needle points somewhere in the same direction as one who cannot condemn rape and kidnapping or sees the terrorist attack on Israel October 7th as “justifiable force” used to “resist oppressors.”

This is where we are as a society. And this is just two examples from this week’s news cycles. I’m sure there are more, and they are as sickening, if not more. But allow me a minute to make my case with these.

In a Harvard Harris poll released recently, we learned this.

• 60% of 18–24-year-olds believe that the terror attacks of October 7th can be justified by the grievances of Palestinians.
• 50% of the same young demographic support Hamas, a terrorist regime that has very clearly stated its goals of killing Jews.
• 53% believe students should be free to call for genocide of Jews as protected free speech.
• 76% believe Hamas are terrorists, the actions of October 7th were terrorism—but Israel is at fault and the only solution is for Israel to be turned over to Hamas to do as it wills.

And it wills to exterminate Jews.

Because Israel is… THE OPPRESSOR.

Dun, dun, dunnnnnn!

Now, to be fair, Hamas is also brutally, murderously oppressive but, in this scenario, they are the “victims” and also the “resistors.” So, anything they do is justified. Clearly.

Because Marxism. You see, Marxism is the golden goose laying get-out-of-jail-free eggs for SOME, but not all.

Based on identity and intersectionality in the Oppressed (victim) Vs. Oppressor worldview, some are incapable of wrong while others are incapable of right.

The errors or evils of the marginalized in this instance, our pervy political putz…and well…Hamas, are entirely overlooked or seen as the unfortunate but understandable actions of those who are simply trying to break free from their chains. Chains anyone who is deemed the “Oppressor” has put them in.

Oppressors like the people who think sex on a table in the Senate is in poor taste—a.k.a. homophobes. (Which is ironic because the first person to object to this young man’s behavior was likely a viewer and fellow member of the group for gays in politics.)

Or like the men, women, and children raped, murdered, and abducted on October 7th.

Remember how our collegiate protestors made sure to identify them as “Settlers,” or “Occupiers?” That’s code for oppressors.

Why do people tear down the missing posters of hostages? They aren’t denying that they are in fact missing or have been taken. They don’t dispute that. But the posters must come down because in this schema, young or old, they are not hostages. They are not even human. They are criminals. They are oppressors. And they must be destroyed. By any means and at any cost. And whomever doles out that judgment against the oppressors? They are heroes of the resistance.

To avoid being an oppressor, especially if I already am by birth, I have to scramble to find some way to identify as a marginalized victim and if I cannot then I must declare myself an ally to those can.

To escape personal responsibility or the possibility of condemnation, being a member of the victim class is absolutely necessary. Is anyone else curious what our staffer’s response would be if he had been caught on tape with a woman? What angle would make that sympathetic?

Never mind that as victims try to out victim their peers for gain, they become hunters (or manufacturers…Jussie Smollett) of oppressors within their ranks and ultimately devour each other. That’s exactly what Smollett did. To up his own status within his victim group, he hired black, out of work, immigrants to play the part of the RACIST or BIGOT. Black, white supremacists. That’s how much we have incentivized being a victim.

Make no mistake this has nothing to do with justice, social or otherwise. It is a fanatical rebellion against accountability. It is feigned and fraudulent virtue signaling to cover greed, licentiousness, and bloodlust…whatever ill or sin man can surmise. My word the things we can give ourselves permission to do when we can do no wrong.

If only there were history to learn from or some record of how harmful this is on grander scales. It seems like it could get scary pretty quick. Holocaust scary. Like your crime is being a Jew and nothing more. And my absolution is being German. Or Palestinian. Or gay. Or trans.

Isn’t inherent righteousness grand?!

In Marxism, there are only two groups and no individuals. Group identity determines morality. Group identity determines guilt. Not actual behavior.

This is how the mayor of Boston has a Christmas party that excludes white people and includes only people of color. This is how colleges teach classes on killing off “whiteness” and “maleness.” This is how men get to dominate women in sports and expose themselves to girls who are told to “get over it.” This is how rape is the fault of the victim and murder the fault of the child. This is how young men can not only rationalize their X-rated disgrace but blame it on others.

What an absolutely evil view to have of the world, to have of ourselves, and fellow man. What an incredible opportunity we have to be better.

There is an entirely necessary conversation to be had here about the depravity of man and the decline of society apart from morality bound to absolute truth, but I will spare you and reserve those words for my columns on faith. Avert your eyes and just skip on down to the bottom.

For now, I leave you with this parting shot.  The last I checked only one party ascribes to this madness. This is the chosen and preferred framework of the Left.

And it will destroy us all if allowed to continue.
